Dr. Mcfield graduated from Tuskegee University and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science and then went on to achieve her degree as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She worked for the USDA under the Federal Government as a Public Health Veterinarian for 15 years. During that time, Dr. Mcfield and her husband started a mobile Veterinary Practice, which became a successful stand-up clinic for 27 years. This practice consisted of mainly treating, diagnosing, performing surgery, boarding, and grooming for dogs and cats. Since her early years, she pursued her dream of becoming a veterinarian, dedicating unwavering effort to reach her goal. Now, she finds immense joy in a fulfilling career that not only brings her personal satisfaction but also enables her to make a meaningful difference in the lives of countless animals.
Dr. Matzke was born and raised in Jupiter, Florida. She attended the University of Florida for both undergraduate and veterinary school. She graduated from the UF College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013 with Maddie’s Shelter Medicine Program Certificate in Shelter Medicine. Dr. Matzke and her husband, Josh, moved to Reno, Nevada, after veterinary school. She found her niche working as a shelter veterinarian and surgeon with the Nevada Humane Society from 2013 to 2023. She loves the ability to give comfort and high-quality veterinary care to homeless pets. Her specialty is spay & neuter surgeries. In Reno, the Matzkes expanded their family significantly with the addition of a few two-legged children – Emy, Thomas, and Patrick. The newest additions to the family are Cocoa the Lab & Fritz the cat. Outside of work, Dr. Matzke’s favorite activity is running, frequently with her four and two-legged family members. She also loves reading and spending time with her family. Dr. Matzke (and family) recently moved back home to Jupiter, and she is excited to join the Paws2Help team.
To tell you a bit about myself, I am a graduate of the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine in 2009 with a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. My veterinary interests include dermatology, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery. In my free time, I enjoy traveling and reading. I am a mom of two girls and 2 dogs, Soda and Kenna.

Dr. Evan M. Blair has been practicing Veterinary Medicine in South Florida since 1995 following an internship in small animal medicine. He owned his own practice until 2015 and then took a year off to recharge. When he started practicing again he worked for a veterinary relief company and went where he was needed. It was not until he was engaged by Paws2Help in 2018 that he finally found his true career calling and set down roots calling this place home. Dr. Blair has been the medical director since September 2021 and a board member since August 2022. With the main goal of preventing disease before you have to treat it, he has brought new energy to our hospital.
