Volunteers: Essential to us
Always in need of skilled volunteers!
If you love to talk on the phone, we REALLY need a lot of help here, to send messages back to clients from the doctors, follow up on after care patients and such like. Needs to be done from our office, any afternoon hours.
HELP IN OUR NEW DONATION CENTER
If you like to organize and keep things neet and tidy, then this is a spot for you. Meet fellow animal lovers and help raise money to keep our low cost clinics operating.
Take a leadership role here, or just come and participate and have fun at some of the places that we are holding events, all you need is to be available on agreed dates and interested in our cause and of course the animals
Ideas, suggestions and solutions, we would love to have your expertise, we are very open to ideas
HELPING WITH THE ANIMALS
Although Paws2Help is no longer a shelter there is always an abandoned or homeless animal here with us, and these need to be tended to with love and care. The little extra care and love that a volunteer can give really makes a difference to an animal that is waiting to be adopted. A few hours of time, any day, would be very welcomed. When we have owner owned, sick or recovering animals in the clinic, our trained vet technicians take care of them.
2011 and these first months of 2012, we have had over 60 animals that had either been left behind, after treatment, in our clinic or we had taken in because of difficult circumstances. After receiving full vet care they needed to find homes. We are definitely not a rescue group or shelter, but somehow there is always a needy soul waiting to be placed by Paws2Help. We are contemplating taking one of our vehicles out to help with this occasionally, so a safe driver would also be appreciated to drive to local spots
March 2012 we proudly held several of FREE clinics, going out into the neediest areas of the community. These free clinics, covered very basic medical needs, such as ear & eye infections, skin problems, abrasions, parasites etc. We have not been able to secure funding for more clinics. If we had sponsors we would like to offer a free mobile clinic month on a regular basis. The cost to hold a totally free clinic is in the region of $1000, which can assist around 50/60 pets in an afternoon.
